HMS Warrior

Location : Sunset behind HMS Warrior at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Britain’s first iron-hulled armoured warship. Warrior, launched in 1860, was the pride of Queen Victoria’s fleet. Powered by steam and sail, she was the largest, fastest and most powerful ship of her day and had a profound effect on naval architecture. This image was captured and featured in colour as a Pic of the Week back in October 2009. Recently it was used for a tutorial in PhotoPlus issue 48. Original image and capture details can be found here. The tutorial in PhotoPlus and recorded on the video disc involves monochrome conversion as well as adding texture image and a frame image.
