Image Location : sun rising at Bembridge beach on the Isle of Wight.
It’s a shock to leave home before 4am in order to go shoot sunrise at this time of year! Graham was over from the mainland for a couple of days of photography coaching and wanted to make the most if it. So, we were to meet at 4:30am by the Bembridge Lifeboat Station and we were both there early at 4am and glad to see the low tide that was predicted. We were rewarded with a great dawn plus sunrise and had great fun climbing over the slippery rocks getting wet feet!
This image was captured at sunrise, using a tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix GH5 with a Lumix DG 12 - 35mm F/2.8 lens set to 30mm (equivalent to 60mm on a full frame camera). The camera was autofocused on the close seaweed. The camera was set to Aperture priority f/8 giving a 1/200th of a second exposure at ISO 200 with daylight white balance. The RAW processing and final adjustments were all done in Photoshop CC. |
