Image Location : All Saints' Church, in Godshill, Isle of Wight.
The original foundations for the church were laid in a flat, easily accessible site; each morning they were found transferred to the hill where the church exists today. Eventually the builders gave up building it in the planned flat location and built it on the hill instead. All Saints is the largest medieval church on the Isle of Wight, and one of the most visited and photographed parish churches in England.
This image was captured at sunset using a tripod-mounted Canon 7DmkII camera and a Sigma Contemporary 150-600mm f/4.5-5.6 set to 388mm (equivalent to 620mm on full frame camera) and manually focused on the church. The camera was set to Aperture priority with a 1/20th of a second exposure at f/7.1, ISO 1250 and daylight white balance. The RAW processing and final adjustments were all done in Photoshop CC.
