Image Location : Osborne House, East Cowes, Isle of Wight, UK.
Osborne House is a former royal residence built about 1850 for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as a summer home and rural retreat. Prince Albert designed the house himself in the style of an Italian Renaissance palazzo. Queen Victoria died at Osborne House in January 1901. Following her death, the house became surplus to royal requirements and was given to the state.
This image was captured using an infrared modified Panasonic Lumix GX7 with a Lumix G Vario 12-35 F/2.8 set to 22mm (equivalent to 44mm on full frame camera). The camera was hand held and using autofocus on the gardens. The camera was set to Aperture Priority f/8 giving a 1/400th of a second exposure at ISO 200 with custom white balance. The RAW processing and final adjustments were done in Photoshop CC also using the Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 plug-in.
