Tower Bridge

Location: Tower Bridge that spans the River Thames in London This image was captured around 9:00pm in the rain using a tripod-mounted Canon 5DmkII camera with a Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5 L II lens. I used Liveview and 10x magnification to manually focus on the pavement, and upward shift was used to give a better view of the tower. The camera was set to manual exposure mode, f/22, ISO 200, and daylight white balance. I then captured a series of 11 exposures from 30 seconds all the way to 1/30th of a second in one-stop increments. The RAW processing, creating and saving the HDRI was all done in Photoshop CS/5. The HDRI was then opened and tone mapped in Photomatix Pro before the final clean-up and image correction/enhancement work was done back in Photoshop.
