Pic of the Week - Page 56
Location: Tenby, a seaside town on Carmarthen Bay in Pembrokeshire, southwest Wales, captured after sunset.
This image was captured using a tripod-mounted Canon 5DmkII camera with a Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5 L II lens. I used Liveview and 10x magnification to manually focus on the rock, and lens shift was used to keep the town upright. The camera was set to manual exposure mode, f/11, ISO 200, and daylight white balance. I then captured a series of 10 exposures from 30 seconds all the way to 1/15th of a second in one-stop increments. The RAW processing, creating and saving the HDRI was all done in Photoshop CS/4. The HDRI was then opened and tone mapped in Photomatix Pro before the final clean-up and image correction/enhancement work was done back in Photoshop.
