Pic of the Week - Page 40
Location: St. Michael's Mount which is a tidal island about 400 yards off the Mount's Bay coast of Cornwall, England.
The mount is connected to the mainland via a man-made causeway passable only at mid to low tide right near the town of Marazion.
This image was captured using a tripod-mounted Canon 5DmkII camera with a Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8 L lens set at 24mm. I auto focused on the large rock just in left front of me and set the lens switch to manual focus. The camera was set to manual exposure mode, f/16, ISO 100, and daylight white balance. I then captured a series of 10 exposures from 30 seconds all the way to 1/15th of a second in one-stop increments. The RAW processing, creating and saving the HDRI was all done in Photoshop CS/4. The HDRI was then opened and tone mapped in Photomatix Pro before the final clean-up and image correction/enhancement work was done back in Photoshop.
