Stream flowing into Lake Buttermere at Hassness, Cumbria

Location: Lake District National Park at Hassness, Cumbria. I was walking down a path to Lake Buttermere and liked the small stream flowing nearby. It was very stormy with lots of dark clouds but with the occasional shaft of sunlight between the clouds and rain.

This image was captured using a tripod-mounted Canon 5DmkII with a 16~35mm F/2.8L lens set at 16mm. I auto focused about 6 foot in front of the camera and set the switch to manual focus. The camera was set to manual exposure mode, f/8, ISO 100, and daylight white balance. I then captured a series of 12 exposures from 4 seconds all the way up to 1/500th of a second in one-stop increments. The RAW processing, creating and saving the HDRI was all done in Photoshop CS/4. The HDRI was then opened and tone mapped in Photomatix Pro before the final clean-up and image correction/enhancement work was done back in Photoshop.
