Image Location : A fox that was photographed at the Needles, Landmark Attraction on the Isle of Wight.
We have been lucky to have trusting foxes on the cliff edge above Alum Bay on the west end of the island. The staff and visitors to the Needles, Landmark Attraction have been feeding them so they are now surprisingly quite tame yet still a little skittish. It is a rare treat to be able to observe and photograph them from such close quarters.

This image was captured late afternoon as the sun was getting low. I was using a Panasonic Lumix GX8 with a Lumix 12-35mm F/2.8 lens set to 31mm (equivalent to 62mm on a full frame camera). The camera was hand held and I used autofocus on the fox. The camera was set to Aperture priority f/8 giving a 1/320th of a second exposure at ISO 200 with daylight white balance. The RAW processing and final adjustments were all done in Photoshop CC. |
