‘Buttercups and daisies,
Oh, the pretty flowers;
Coming ere the spring time,
To tell of sunny hours’ – A Mary Howitt Quote.
St. Catherine's Lighthouse is one of the oldest lighthouse locations in Great Britain. The first lighthouse was established on St. Catherine's Point in 1323, however this new lighthouse, was built by Trinity House in 1838.
This image was captured mid-afternoon using a Panasonic Lumix G7 with a LUMIX G VARIO 12-35 F/2.8 set to 17mm (equivalent to 34mm on full frame camera). I was hand holding the lens and using autofocus on the buttercups. The camera was set to Aperture Priority f/8 giving a 1/1000th of a second exposure at ISO 200 with daylight white balance. The RAW processing and final adjustments were all done in Photoshop CC.
