Image location : St. Mary's Church, Brook, Isle of Wight.
This medieval church burned to the ground in 1862, and it is now the best preserved Victorian church on the Isle of Wight. The image was captured while out on a photo outing around the Isle of Wight with a photographer from USA. Alan has travelled from Minnesota to spend a week and a half on the Isle of Wight doing some advanced Photoshop training with me. In addition to images of blue bells, red squirrels and coastal scenery, we have focused on a number of the island’s historic churches and graveyards.
The image was captured late afternoon using a Canon 5DmkII and a Canon TS-E24mm f/3.5L II. This camera has been modified to capture IR (Infrared) light and also block visible light, so the colours captured are not normal. The camera was set to Manual with 1/60th second exposure at f/8, ISO 100 and using Live View focusing at 10x on the nearest gravestone. The RAW processing was done in Photoshop CC. The final image adjustments were done in NIK Color Effects Pro.
