Digital Camera Workshop.
Elm Studio classroom workshops are for small groups of about 10 photographers. These evening workshops cover a range of skill levels that are tailored to your needs. The small group size ensures that participants receive lots of individual attention and that training content is appropriate to your technical level.
Does your camera intimidate you a little? Would you like to get the very best out of it? If so, this workshop is for you. This course covers what you need to know about using your camera, from how to configure your options and menus, to understanding how to shoot perfectly exposed images, even under difficult lighting conditions. It also includes instruction on what are the best shooting modes and when to use them. If you want to move off Auto to Manual, or from JPEG to RAW, then this workshop will show you how.
Some of the subjects we will cover include: shooting modes (A, P, Av, Tv), picture styles, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focus, DOF (depth of field), zoom, lens choice (angle of view), hyper-focal distance, metering, histograms and white balance, noise reduction, exposure compensation and filters, EXIF and metadata. These sessions will really focus on how you practically use your camera for great results and not this technical jargon above.
This Digital Camera Workshop takes place in a meeting hall and provides lots of individual attention over the course of three evenings. These sessions will be interesting and practical, helping you get the most out of your camera.
This is a three-evening workshop, on Tuesdays 7:30pm – 9:30pm @ The George Street Centre, George Street, Ryde, PO33 2JF
