Ashton Windmill

Location: Ashton Windmill, Chapel Allerton, Somerset about an hour’s drive south west of our home. Windmill was lit with two flashs and a large torch. The star trails were captured a week later in Wales. This image was captured about 8:00pm using a tripod-mounted Canon 5DmkII camera with a Canon TS-E 17mm f/4 L lens. I used Liveview and 10x magnification to manually focus on the windmill. The camera was set to manual exposure mode, 20 seconds, f/5.6, ISO 400, and daylight white balance. The RAW processing, editing and saving the image was all done in Photoshop CS/5. The polar star trails were captured separately.
