Pic of the Week - Page 87
Monkey's Head Rock
Location: Trebarwith Strand in Cornwall. The island in the background is Gull Rock (known locally as Monkey's Head Rock). This image was captured about 5:30pm using a tripod-mounted Canon 5DmkII camera with a Canon EF 16~35mm F/2.8L II lens set at 31mm. I used Liveview and 10x magnification to manually focus on the rocks. The camera was set to manual exposure mode, 1 second, f/22, ISO 100, and daylight white balance. The RAW processing, editing and saving the image was all done in Photoshop CS/5. This image is just one in a sequence of nearly 500 I captured for a time lapse. If you would like to see the movie or the video tutorial on how to build the time lapse, it is in the February PhotoPlus Magazine and video disc, issue 44.
