Location: Wheat field near Northhampton, England

This image was captured using a tripod-mounted infrared modified Canon 5D. This is the best lens I have for infrared it is the TS-E 24mm TSE (mark 1) lens because it does not have all the special coatings the new lenses have which often adversely affect IR. Stopping down to f/16 and setting the hyper focal distance to 4’ meant that everything from 2’ to infinity would appear to be in focus. I needed to be careful to shield the lens from the setting sun as this lens is prone to flare because it does not have all those coatings. The company that modified the camera to IR for me was Lifepixel.
