Avon Valley Railway
Location : in a steam locomotive! My boss had asked me to do the next PhotoPlus Masterclass on how to photograph a train, so Jennifer and I went down to Avon Valley Railway last week where we had fun photographing steam trains. They were very kind to me and give me all sorts of fantastic opportunities--like riding in the steam engine! This railway is run and maintained primarily by volunteers, all of whom are passionate about trains. Watch out for the article in Issue 53 of PhotoPlus. This image was captured using a hand-held Canon 5DmkII camera with a Canon EF 15mm F/2.8L fisheye lens. I auto focused using the center spot in single-shot mode. The camera was set to manual exposure mode, f/8, ISO 800 and daylight white balance. The RAW processing, final clean-up and enhancement work was all done in Photoshop CS/5.
