Bedruthan Steps

Location : the beach at Bedruthan Steps, near St. Eval in Cornwall. We were down there shooting seascapes for the Masterclass article in the next issue of PhotoPlus, Issue 52. This image was captured using a tripod-mounted Canon 5DmkII camera Canon EF 24~70mm F/2.8L lens set at 45mm. I used Liveview and 10x magnification to manually focus on the rock. The camera was set to manual exposure mode, f/8, ISO 100 and daylight white balance. Then I fitted a 10-stop neutral density filter and captured a long exposure by locking the remote release open and manually timed an exposure of 145 seconds. The RAW processing, final clean-up and enhancement work was all done in Photoshop CS/5. Click here to improve your photography ... on the Isle of Wight |
