Location : Skomer Island, just off the southwest corner of Wales. Skomer is one of the very best places in Britain to see and photograph puffins, with over 6,000 breeding pairs. This image was captured mid-afternoon with the Canon 7D camera and a Canon EF 70~200mm F/2.8L lens with a doubler set at 280mm resting on the ground. The camera was set on aperture priority, f/7.1 at ISO 100 and daylight white balance. I used AI Servo focus and minus one stop exposure compensation with the camera using 1/200th of a second.
