Festive holiday greetings from south of Cartegena, our camp site for Christmas. La Azohía is a quiet town adorned with ‘Feliz Navidad’ lights where all is calm and all is bright – a perfect spot for a December holiday. We are spending restful days enjoying warm weather, stunning scenery, colourful sunsets and delicious meals.
We hope that your Christmas is full of joy and delight and that the New Year will be a peaceful, inspiring and exciting one for you. All the best to you and yours throughout 2019!

This image was captured at night, using a tripod-mounted Sony A7R2 camera and a Canon EF 17mm f/4.0 TS/E lens, which was manually focused using live view on the town. I was using a tripod and a remote for the two exposures. The camera was set to Manual single exposure mode at f/8.0, ISO 1600 and Daylight white balance.
The first image at one second was of the town sign, which I have coloured red
The second image at 8 seconds was for the landscape, moon and stars.
There was a simple lighten blend mode with layer mask to join these two images in Photoshop.
All this work was done in Adobe Bridge with all the processing and final adjustments done in Photoshop CC.
