Image Location : the heather is growing on Headon Warren, Totland, Isle of Wight.
The heather was in full bloom this week as I climbed up Headon Warren for sunset lugging my tripod. Headon Warren is a breathtaking walk with splendid views all around and it is now a small but important site for heather on the island.
This image was captured at almost sunset about 8pm, using a tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix GH5 camera with a Lumix DG 12 - 35mm F/2.8 lens set to 35mm (equivalent to 70mm on a full frame camera). The lens was focused at the hyperfocal distance (on the heather) and the camera was set to Aperture priority f/11 giving a 1/50th of a second exposure at ISO 200 with daylight white balance. The RAW processing and final adjustments were all done in Photoshop CC. |
