Image Location : A misty sunrise over Yaverland, Sandown, Isle of Wight.
Last Sunday we had a lovely misty morning so I was up early on Ashey Down with my long lens pointed south to capture this two-image panorama. It was lovely to just be out watching dawn and sunrise, it was just so peaceful and perhaps a little cool.
This image was captured at sunrise. I was using a Panasonic Lumix GX8 with a Lumix DG 100-400mm F/4-6.3 lens set to 180mm (equivalent to 360mm on a full frame camera). The lens foot (+ camera) was on a monopod and I used ‘back button’ autofocus on the tree. The camera was set to Aperture priority f/7.1 giving a 1/500th of a second exposure at ISO 200 with daylight white balance. I took several different compositions and this is a Photoshop Photomerge of two frames. The RAW processing and final adjustments were all done in Photoshop CC. |
