Image location : The Needles on the Isle of Wight, this is the most westerly tip of the island.
The Needles is a row of three distinctive stacks of chalk that rise out of the sea with the Needles Lighthouse at the far end of the stack. The image was captured from the costal path on headland between Totland Bay and Colwell Bay.
This image was captured just before sunset using a Panasonic Lumix G7 with a LUMIX G VARIO 100-300mm F/4.0-5.6 set to 300mm (equivalent to 600mm on full frame camera). I was supporting the lens on a railing and using autofocus on the yacht. The camera was set to Aperture Priority f/8.0 giving a 1/640th of a second exposure at ISO 200 with daylight white balance. The RAW processing and final adjustments were all done in Photoshop CC.
