Location : the village of Noth, Limousin, France. I had just returned from a weeks stay at a fantastic gîte; Les Marronniers in the Creuse Department of France’s South West Limousin region, the food was great! I was down there planning and shooting for photographic workshops later this year.
It was middle afternoon when I captured this image using a tripod-mounted Canon 5DmkIII camera and a Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5 L II lens. I used Live View focusing with a CamRanger at 10x on the closest part of the cottage. The camera was set to manual exposure mode, f/11, ISO 100 and daylight white balance. I then captured a series of 8 exposures from a quarter second all the way to 1/500th second in one-stop increments. The RAW processing, creating and saving of the HDRI was all done in Photoshop CS6. The HDRI file was then opened and tone mapped in Photomatix Pro. The final adjustments were then done in Photoshop, and the frame in Nik Color Efex Pro. |
